No Bull: Family First
Neil Duxbury of rural Wessington and Brenda Johnson of rural Miller were each raised by good people. In turn, they raised three more good ones after marrying in 1975. Daughters Amy and Kelly along with son Clay were raised in the daily work of a Simmental cattle business.
Loyalty, service to others, and honesty remain foundational family philosophies. With these qualities at their center, the family has steadily worked to build a reputable herd of Simmental cattle.
Quality, not quantity, has always been their goal. They have not followed fads or ridden coattails. Instead, the Duxburys focused on genuine friendships and a keen sense of cattle. For decades, Neil Duxbury could be found behind the scenes across the country helping curate some of the industries most respected cattle programs. And when she didn't travel with him, Brenda was at home doing the same with their own program.
Today's herd reflects those priorities with pedigrees tracing back to Hook Simmentals, R&R Cattle Company, 3C Christensen Simmentals, and others.
While not a family comfortable tooting their own horn, Neil & Brenda Duxbury's family is recognized for making strides in the Simmental industry, especially in South Dakota.
